Holden Beach launches video contest to capture beach’s family-friendly atmosphere on film

Posted on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 in News/Blog

If you have videos that depict Holden Beach’s quiet, family-friendly atmosphere, the Town of Holden Beach wants to hear from you.

The town is running a video contest now through Sept. 8. Residents and visitors are asked to record their favorite Holden Beach moments, activities and scenes in videos that are four minutes or less in length. The winner’s video will be featured on the Town of Holden Beach’s website, Facebook page and YouTube channel. The winner will receive a small prize, which will be announced at a later date.

“Families from all across North Carolina and the United States choose to spend their vacations at Holden Beach each year,” said Town Manager David Hewett. “A picture is worth a thousand words, and this contest will provide residents and vacationers a chance to showcase the reasons they choose Holden Beach as their vacation destination.”

Videos must be appropriate for all ages and can be submitted to the Town of Holden Beach in person or by mail. A winner will be selected by Sept. 30.

To submit a video, please contact Amanda at the Town of Holden Beach, 110 Rothschild Street, Holden Beach, N.C. 28462. For more information on the contest or the Town of Holden Beach, please visit http://www.hbtownhall.com or http://www.ncfamilybeach.com.
